Parking's got friends, and now they have a seat at the table!
Running event parking takes more than just pavement. While the Event Portal helps your parkers know where to go, Resources help you manage items like signage, barricades, decorations, or anything else your event needs to run a seamless parking experiencing.
Build a custom resource library and add these items directly to events with ease, report on usage, and manage it all within the Dashboard. Keeping track of your traffic cones never felt so good!
How it works
With Resources you can create a company-wide resource library for any item you or another team might need for an Event. Simply create a resource with a name, add optional description and pricing details, and the item is ready to be added to any existing or new event in seconds!
You can even add a custom description or set a price for the item with a flat or per unit rate:
- Per unit resources allow quantities (e.g., 4 signs at $150 each).
- Flat rate resources are a single fee and will default quantity to 1.
- You can also enter a negative amount to represent a discount (e.g., early-bird discount).
Managing your Resource Library
Create
- In the Dashboard, open the Events dropdown, then select Resources.
- Click Create Resource
- Name (required)
- Description (optional)
- Rate (optional)
- Set Price as a flat or per unit option (revenue reporting is affected by this option)
- Click Create
Edit
- In the Resources library click the name
- Click Edit > make changes
- Click Save
NOTE: When a resource is updated in the library, the changes are NOT reflected on the same resources already pulled into an event.
Archive
- In the Resources library click the checkbox beside the resource name
- Click red Archive button that appears

- Click Archive again to complete the action
- To Restore a resource, use the Archived filter to find the item

- Check the box beside the name, and click Restore

Adding Resources to an Event
When creating or editing an event, you’ll see a Resources section where you can add line items for the event.
- Create or Edit an existing event.
- In Details scroll down to Resources and click + Add resource
- Select your resources from the dropdown and edit or add any new details
NOTE: When changing the name or price of a selected resource in an event, the changes are NOT reflected on the same resource within the library
Tips and Tricks:
- If the resource you need doesn't exist yet, enter the new name and click + Add Resource
- The new resource will be created in the library with the associated details
- Quickly duplicate a resource by clicking the icon beside the price

Reporting updates
Resources also appear in the Event report. To support this, the report includes new revenue breakdown fields:
- Rate becomes Parking rates
- Total revenue becomes Parking revenue
- New: Resource revenue
- New: Gross revenue (Parking revenue + Resources revenue, including discounts)

FAQ
If I edit a resource in the library, will it update existing events?
No. Events keep the values that were pulled in when the resource was added (a snapshot/template copy).
If I change the price/description on the event, does it change the resource globally?
No. Event-level edits only affect that event.
Can I use Resources for a flat event fee (not per parker)?
Yes. You can add a flat-rate resource as an event fee, and/or use negative resource line items to apply discounts.
Can I archive resources?
Yes. Archived resources can be filtered and viewed in the Resources table.
